City of CaldwellCaldwell, Idaho, the entrance to the Boise Valley, is located in the heart of scenic southwestern Idaho. The greater Caldwell area is a desert brought to bloom by the wonders of irrigation. Caldwell is situated in the Treasure Valley along the Boise River. Covering an area of about 12.5 square miles, the city is flat at an elevation of 2,385 feet above sea level. The Owyhee, Weiser and Boise mountain ranges rise steeply to eight and nine thousand feet, surrounding the sloping valley. Caldwell is centrally located in the Northwest and has a rich history of transportation and distribution. Many manufacturing, processing and agricultural groups are located in Caldwell because of excellent access to rail, interstate and multiple state highways that intersect the city.
